The beautiful Himalayan country of Nepal is still crawling into the discourse of development scenario. The country is listed as an underdeveloped or the developing phase in terms of Human Development. Unfortunately, the entire population seem like waiting for any sort of disastrous status quo at any time, exposed vulnerability to natural disaster, which is the prominent encounter people experience every year such wildfire and fire in residences, earthquake, flood and landslides. Other glitches like road hazards, accidents, calamities and pandemics take several lives within the given periods. A vast majority of population is still under poverty line. Government seems to be helpless, worst to say, it cannot provide immediate services in times of urgencies. Youths are being driven out of the country by several reasons, but seeking the best life opportunities would be just an excuse. The service-sector leadership is growing worst as corrupt, filthy and irresponsible towards justice, peace, development, for which the spirit of humanitarian service and welfare attempts is required in all sector of society. Thus, social and civil attempt to rescue, relief and rebuilding becomes mandatory to responsible individuals.
We, the founding members of Shalom Foundation have been much active in mobilizing resources and voluntary forces not only to make a quick response to any disastrous incidents such as earthquake, flood, mudslide, massive accident, pandemic and calamities. We are also long-term contributing to empowerment of the least and marginalized people, and development of upcoming leadership generation that would remain committed to national Transformation.
